Answer: Chips was greatly dejected at the death of his wife and child. He felt alone. That’s why, he decided to shift to the bachelor quarter after the death of his wife and child.
جواب: اپنی بیوی اور بچے کی وفات پر مسٹر چپس بہت افسردہ ہو گیا تھا۔وہ بہت تنہائی محسوس کرتا تھا۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ اپنی بیوی اور بچے کی وفات کے بعد اس نے بیچلر کوارٹر شفٹ ہونے کا فیصلہ کیا۔

Answer: Initially, Chips felt very sad after his wife died. In addition, he lost his child too. Consequently, he felt very lonely at home. For this reason, he moved back to his old bachelor quarters. This change eventually helped him find some peace. Meanwhile, he lived a simple life there. Furthermore, he focused on his school work again. Nevertheless, he missed Katherine deeply every day.
Q.NO.2: Who was Naylor? What did Chips remember about him?
Answer: To begin with, Naylor was a young boy at Brookfield. On one occasion, he watched Chips play a game of fives. Afterward, Naylor said Chips played well for an old man. Surprisingly, Chips remembered this comment for many years. He constantly wondered if fifty was really old. Regardless, he felt young in his heart still. Therefore, this memory stayed with him forever.

Answer: Primarily, Boers were people from South Africa. During that time, they fought a hard war against the English. However, Chips did not hate these people at all.
