The Camel and the Jackal

Once, a camel and a jackal lived near a river. They were good friends. One day, the jackal suggested they enjoy sugarcane on the other side of the river. The jackal couldn’t swim. So, the camel carried him across. They happily ate the sugarcane. After eating sugarcane, the jackal began howling. The camel asked him to stop howling, but the jackal said that it was his habit to howl after the meal. Hearing the noise, the field owner came and beat the camel while the jackal hid. The camel could not forget his mischief. He decided to teach the jackal a lesson.

On their return, the camel started rolling in the middle of the river. The jackal pleaded with him to stop rolling, but the he said that it was his habit to roll after the meal. The jackal slipped into the river and began to drown. His mischief caused his punishment.
