The poem “If”by Rudyard Kipling teaches patience, honesty, and self-belief. The poet advises us to be calm in tough situation. He advises us not to lie and hate others. He encourages us to dream not being controlled by them. Moreover, he wants to inculcate in us the spirit to face failure and success with equal courage. He favours taking risks but advises to stay strong after loss. He believes in unceasing efforts at any cost. He prefers humility and respect for all people. At the end of the poem, he says if one follows these values, one will achieve true success. We can say that the message of the poem is strength, wisdom, humility and effort to be a good person.
روڈیارڈ کپلنگ کی نظم “اگر” صبر، ایمانداری اور خود اعتمادی کا درس دیتی ہے۔ شاعر ہمیں سخت حالات میں پرسکون رہنے کا مشورہ دیتا ہے۔ وہ ہمیں مشورہ دیتا ہے کہ جھوٹ نہ بولیں اور نہ دوسروں سے نفرت کریں۔ وہ ہمیں خواب دیکھنے کی ترغیب دیتا ہے جو ان کے قابو میں نہ ہوں۔ مزید یہ کہ وہ ہم میں ناکامی اور کامیابی کا یکساں حوصلے کے ساتھ مقابلہ کرنے کا جذبہ پیدا کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ وہ خطرہ مول لینے کا حامی ہے لیکن نقصان کے بعد مضبوط رہنے کا مشورہ دیتا ہے۔ وہ کسی بھی قیمت پر مسلسل کوششوں پر یقین رکھتا ہے۔ وہ تمام لوگوں کے لیے عاجزی اور احترام کو ترجیح دیتا ہے۔ نظم کے آخر میں وہ کہتا ہے کہ اگر کوئی ان اقدار کی پیروی کرے گا تو وہ حقیقی کامیابی حاصل کرے گا۔ ہم کہہ سکتے ہیں کہ نظم کا پیغام طاقت، حکمت، عاجزی اور اچھا انسان بننے کی کوشش ہے۔

نظم “اگر” روڈیارڈ کپلنگ نے ایک نصیحت آموز نقطہ نظر کے ساتھ لکھی ہے۔ وہ زندگی کے قیمتی سبق سکھاتا ہے۔ وہ صبر، اعتماد اور ایمانداری کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتا ہے۔ اس کا ماننا ہے کہ کامیابی اور ناکامی انسان کی زندگی میں مستقل چیزیں نہیں ہیں۔ کامیابی اور ناکامی دونوں ہی انسان کو گمراہ کر سکتی ہیں۔ کامیابی فخر کا سبب بن سکتی ہے، جب کہ ناکامی اداسی کا سبب بن سکتی ہے۔ عقلمند انسان دونوں حالتوں میں پرسکون رہتا ہے۔ کیپلنگ بہت زیادہ نقصان کا سامنا کرنے کے بعد بھی کبھی ہار نہ ماننے کا مشورہ دیتے ہیں۔ وہ محنت، ہمت اور عزم کی قدر کرتا ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ کسی بھی حالت میں مضبوط رہنا چاہیے۔ وہ نفرت، جھوٹ اور تکبر کے خلاف خبردار کرتا ہے۔ سچا لیڈر سب کے ساتھ عزت سے پیش آتا ہے۔ اچھا انسان جذبات کو اپنے اعمال پر قابو نہیں پانے دیتا۔ کپلنگ سکھاتا ہے کہ وقت تمام چیزوں میں سب سے قیمتی ہے اور اسے سمجھداری سے استعمال کرنا چاہیے۔ اس کا خیال ہے کہ نظم و ضبط اور خود پر قابو رکھنا کامیابی لاتا ہے۔ اگر کوئی شخص ان اقدار کی پیروی کرے گا تو وہ عظمت حاصل کرے گا۔ نظم لوگوں کو زندگی میں مضبوط، عاجز اور پرعزم رہنے کی ترغیب دیتی ہے۔
